GF77.20-P-2033GZ Tilting/Sliding Roof (SR) Normalization and Denormalization, Function

GF77.20-P-2033GZ Tilting/sliding roof (SR) normalization and denormalization, function
- 164 with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof up to Model Year 8

Performing normalization
Open tilting roof manually with roof switch (N70s1) until the mechanical stop is reached and continue to press roof switch. The overhead control panel control unit (N70) continues to actuate the SR motor (M12m1) and resets the position counter to zero when it detects that the SR motor is locked up for at least 0.5 s. Before reaching the lock-up position "Open tilting roof" at least 3 edges of the square wave voltage should be recognized by the Hall sensor 1, SR (M12b1) and Hall sensor 2, SR (M12b2). It is not possible to normalize by automatically opening the tilting roof with the tilting/sliding roof switch (SR) or the comfort actuation.

The tilting/sliding roof is now normalized, i.e. the overhead control panel control unit can switch off the SR motor before reaching the mechanical stop when opening and closing the tilting/sliding roof automatically

Normalization must take place when denormalization was accomplished or occurred previously. The position of the tilting/sliding roof is not known by the overhead control panel control unit in the denormalized state.

Denormalization occurs when:
- The power supply is interrupted
- The tilting/sliding roof exceeds the defined motion range by 25 SR motor rotations
- One of the two Hall sensor signals fails for 10 edges
- Two Hall sensor signals were absent for t > 320 ms even after time-controlled reversing of the tilting/sliding roof
- The defined Hall sensor signal sequence is faulty.
- A defect of the excessive force limitation is recognized

The tilting/sliding roof can only be moved to the "Open sliding roof" and "Open tilting roof" direction with the roof switch. Closing is no longer possible with the roof switch, because it cannot definitely identify the direction of the motor rotation.

To indicate that it is denormalized and to avoid strain on the mechanical limit stop in the "Open sliding roof" position, the drive is actuated in the "Open sliding roof" position for only approx. 250 ms. After this it is again necessary to actuate the roof switch

Normalize tilting/sliding roof to restore complete function
