AR26.60-P-0600GH Remove/Install Floor Shift

Removing And Installing Floor Shift, Transmission 716.64






1 Move transmission (7) into neutral position
2 Take off shift lever handle
3 Remove cover on shift lever
4 Remove outer cup (3)

CAUTION: Do not over-bend securing tabs.

5 Unscrew bolt (15)
6 Unclip inner cup (4)

CAUTION: Do not over-bend securing tabs.

7 Unscrew nuts (16) and remove bolt plate (17
8 Unscrew bolts (14) and disconnect propeller shaft (13) from transfer case (9)

CAUTION: Hang propeller shaft to one side, ensuring that the universal joint and center bearing are not damaged.

9 Disconnect plug connector (10) from actuator motor
10 Support transmission (7) and unscrew nuts (11)
11 Slightly lower engine transmission unit

CAUTION: Ensure that tines are not damaged.

12 Unlock and pull out securing pin (6) and disconnect floor shift (1) from transmission (7)
13 Unlock securing pin (6) on shift rod (8) and extract it, then detach shift rod (8) at floor shift (1).

NOTE: Installation: When connecting the shift rod (8) to the shift lever (5) ensure that the guide on the shift lever (5) is on the side of the reverse gear lock on the shift gate (1) (arrow).

14 Remove floor shift (1) downwards.
15 Install in the reverse order
16 Inspect ease of operation of shift mechanism.
