Electrical - Squeaking Noise from Instrument Panel

Squeaking Noise From Behind Instrument Cluster or Instrument Panel Left Side

If you receive customer reports on the above model vehicles of a squeaking noise emanating from behind the instrument cluster or instrument panel left side, the module box blower motor (M212) in the fuse and relay box (F1) may need to be replaced. Insufficient lubrication on the blower motor's spindle may cause an audible squeaking sound during blower operation. Please follow the procedure below to replace the blower motor.

1. To gain access to the module box blower (M212) in the fuse and relay module (F1), refer to WIS document no. AR54.15-P-1255GH.





2. Complete WIS document up to step 11 in order to disconnect M212's electrical connector (Figure 1, M2/2x1).

3. Replace original M212 with new part number listed below and reinstall by completing the above directions in reverse.
