GF80.20-P-2008GH Locator Lighting, Function

The locator lighting function is used to make it easier to locate the vehicle in a poorly lit environment.

The vehicle unlocked by the radio remote control switches on the vehicle lighting (park lamps, taillamps, license plate lamps and fog lamps) for 40 sec.

Function prerequisites
- Completely locked vehicle
- Exterior lamp switch in "AUTO" position

Operational sequence:
When opening the vehicle using the transmitter key (selectively or globally), the vehicle lighting (park lamps, tail lamps, license plate lamps and fog lamps) is switched on for a maximum of 40 sec.

The locator lighting is also active in daylight.

Function interruption:
The locator lighting function is interrupted, if:
- the driver's door is opened,
- the vehicle is locked again with the transmitter key,
- circuit 15 is "ON",
- the vehicle is automatically locked again.

If the exterior lamp switch is not set to "AUTO", then the locator lighting function is not active.
