AR49.10-P-7000GH Remove/Install Complete Exhaust System

Removing And Installing Exhaust System Complete







1 Lift vehicle at front axle carrier with pit lift.
2 Remove front springs.
3 Separate plug connections of sensors.
4 Remove shield (8/1).
5 Unscrew exhaust pipe clamps (7/2) from rear exhaust system.
6 Unhook downstream exhaust system off rubber mount (9/1).

NOTE: Check rubber mounts (9/1) for damage, replace if necessary.

7 Disconnect front exhaust system from rear exhaust system.

NOTE: Ensure that the shields on the vehicle underbody are not damaged when separating the exhaust system.

8 Lift out rear exhaust system.
9 Unscrew nuts (11/2) on support.

NOTE: Installation: install new nuts.

10 Unscrew screws (11/1) at flange connection of front exhaust system/exhaust manifold.

NOTE: If bolts are stiff, or thread damaged, Replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold.

11 Lift out front exhaust system.
12 Install in the reverse order.

NOTE: Install exhaust system free of stress.
