AR01.45-P-7500FB Remove/Install Oil Pan



Remove/install oil pan


Shown On Engine 112:






Remove/Install
1 Remove oil pan bottom section (1)
2 Disconnect electrical line at oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)

NOTE: Remove cable strap at oil pipe.

3 Remove oil pipe (2) from dipstick.

NOTE: Installation: Replace sealing ring!

4 Remove oil pan top section (3)
- At the same time take out oil pan in direction of travel toward front, if necessary rotate the crankshaft a little.

NOTE:
- Installation: Observe different bolt length and bolt diameter: Bolt diagram of oil pan.
- Information on application of sealant to oil pan.

5 Install in the reverse order
6 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase.
- Stored faults which can result from removed lines or a simulation due to installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.

DANGER:
- Risk of accident. Accidents may result if the vehicle starts off unintentionally with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns.
- Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.


7 Run engine and inspect for leaks.
