The direction of rotation of the motor for the sliding /pop-up roof (M12) is determined by the polarity of the control voltage. Both sliding /pop-up roof functions are driven by one motor. Starting from the position with the popup roof open rotation of the motor in one direction closes the pop-up roof. Continuing to rotate in the same direction beyond the " sliding /pop-up roof closed" position opens the sliding roof. Two Hall sensors supply pulses for position measurement which are received by the evaluation electronic module in the sliding /pop-up roof (M12) .
