GF80.20-P-3006GH Unlocking With Remote Control Key, Function

GF80.20-P-3006GH Unlocking With Remote Control Key, Function

When the "Unlock vehicle" button is pressed, the remote control key transmits a radio signal. This signal contains the code for checking the access authorization and the command to unlock the vehicle. The signal is received via the antenna on the A-pillar on the driver side by the receiver in the all-activity module (AAM) (N10). The AAM decodes the signal and checks the authorization code. If the code is valid, the vehicle is unlocked electrically and the central locking switch (S21s10) in the central console is released. Moreover, the interior lighting is switched on.

Unlocking is accomplished in two stages:
If the button of the remote control key is pressed when the vehicle was locked previously, the AAM unlocks the driver's door and tank flap. When the "Unlock vehicle" button is pressed again, i.e. driver's door and tank flap are already unlocked, the remaining doors and tailgate are unlocked by the AAM.

After unlocking with the remote control key, the vehicle can relock automatically:
- with the relocking feature
- by automatic actuation of the ATA

Both features are programmable with the AAM version coding.

as of 1.3.98:
When the "Unlock vehicle" button is pressed twice immediately in sequence, the AAM unlocks all vehicle doors and the tailgate simultaneously.

When the "Unlock tailgate" button is pressed, only the tailgate is unlocked.

Confirmation with turn signal lamps (as of 12.99):
When the vehicle is unlocked with the remote control key, all turn signal lamps flash momentarily as a confirmation.

If the hazard warning flasher is switched on, this confirmation is not given.
