CD Player Mode, Function




Audio 30 APS CD mode can be activated by pressing the "AUDIO" button on the radio and navigation unit (A2/56).


NOTE: The CD drive also serves for loading data for the navigation system. A special navigation CD is required for this purpose.


The CD player integrated into the A2/56 offers the following audio functions:

Fast forward/rewind (music search)
During fast forward/rewind the music played can be heard. In this manner, certain parts of a title can be played specifically or skipped.

Random feature
All titles on a CD are played according to a random principle.

Scan feature
Each title of a CD is played for 8 s. After running through the complete CD, the scan function is discontinued automatically.

Repeat feature
The title currently being played is repeated.
Display of number and playing time expired of current title, display of total play time and number of titles on CD.


NOTE: Each CD contains a stored Table of Contents (TOC). The TOC entry contains information such as the the number of titles on the CD and the total placing time of the CD.


CD reproduction is automatically interrupted for the following functions (pause function):

Traffic announcements and public warning messages from the radio data system (PTY 31 messages)
Incoming telephone calls

The CD mode is continued at the point at which it was interrupted; none of the pieces is skipped during the pause function.


NOTE: During voice announcements by the navigation system, the volume of the CD is lowered only.
