Fuel Pump Ballast Resistor: Testing and Inspection

FUEL PUMP RESISTOR INSPECTION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo]

Resistance Inspection

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

3. Remove the fuel pump resister. Service and Repair

4. Verify that the continuity between the fuel pump resister terminal A and B is within the specification.






Fuel pump resistor continuity
- 0.304-0.336 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]

- If not within the specification, replace the fuel pump resistor. Service and Repair
