Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

3. Remove the plug hole plate. Plug Hole Plate Removal/Installation

4. Remove the air cleaner and air hose as a single unit. Service and Repair

5. Disconnect the high pressure fuel pump connector.

6. Disconnect the harness clip as shown in the figure.






7. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold. Service and Repair

8. Remove in the order indicated in the table.










9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Purge Solenoid Valve Installation Note

1. Temporarily install the purge solenoid valve to the bracket.

2. Lift up and tighten the purge solenoid valve as shown in the figure.






Evaporative Hose No.3 Installation Note

1. Install the evaporative hose No.3 as shown in the figure.






Evaporative Hose No.1 Installation Note

1. Install the evaporative hose No.1 as shown in the figure.
