Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Testing and Inspection

FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5]

Voltage Inspection

NOTE:
- The fuel tank pressure sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the fuel tank pressure sensor, replace it together with the evaporative hose component as a single unit.

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

3. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor connector.

4. Remove the clip from the fuel tank pressure sensor bracket. Service and Repair

5. Disconnect the quick release connectors and remove the evaporative hose component. Service and Repair Service and Repair

6. Switch the ignition to ON.

7. Plug one end of the evaporative hose component and verify that the output voltage from the fuel tank pressure sensor changes when pressure is applied from the other hose end.

- If not as verified, replace the evaporative hose component. Service and Repair
