Oil Pressure Switch Installation





OIL PRESSURE SWITCH INSTALLATION

MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5, MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo

WARNING:
- A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the exhaust system.

CAUTION:
- Be sure there is no sealant between 1.0-2.0 mm {0.040-0.078 in} from the end of the oil pressure switch to prevent a possible operation malfunction.

1. Apply silicone sealant to the threads of the oil pressure switch.






CAUTION:
- Install the oil pressure switch before the applied silicone sealant starts to harden.

2. Install the oil pressure switch.





3. Connect the connector.





4. Connect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement Removal and Replacement

5. Start the engine and verify that there is no oil leakage.

- If there is oil leakage, repair or replace the oil seal.

6. Install the aerodynamic under cover No.2. Aerodynamic Under Cover No. 2 Removal/Installation

WARNING:
- A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the exhaust system.

CAUTION:
- Be sure there is no sealant between 1.7-2.7 mm {0.07-0.10 in} from the end of the oil pressure switch to prevent a possible operation malfunction.

1. Apply silicone sealant to the threads of the oil pressure switch.






CAUTION:
- Install the oil pressure switch before the applied silicone sealant starts to harden.

2. Install the oil pressure switch.





3. Connect the connector.





4. Connect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

5. Start the engine and verify that there is no oil leakage.

- If there is oil leakage, repair or replace the oil seal.

6. Install the aerodynamic under cover No.2. Aerodynamic Under Cover No. 2 Removal/Installation
