Crash Zone Sensor Removal/Installation





CRASH ZONE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNING:
- Handling the crash zone sensor improperly can accidentally deploy the air bags and pre-tensioner seat belts, which may seriously injure you. 1. Switch the ignition to off.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. Removal and Replacement Removal and Replacement Removal and Replacement

3. Remove the aerodynamic under cover No.2. Aerodynamic Under Cover No. 2 Removal/Installation

4. Remove the aerodynamic under cover No.1. Aerodynamic Under Cover No. 1 Removal/Installation

5. Remove the front bumper. Front Bumper Removal/Installation

6. Remove the bolt






7. Remove the cover.

8. Disconnect the connector from the crash zone sensor by pressing the connector tab in the direction of the arrow.






9. Remove the nut.

10. Remove the crash zone sensor.

11. Install in the reverse order of removal.

12. Switch the ignition to ON.

13. Verify that the air bag system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and goes out.

- If the air bag system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system. Standard Deployment Control System Two-Step Deployment Control System
