After Repair Procedure

AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [LJ4A-EL]

Caution
- After repairing a malfunction, perform this procedure to verify that the malfunction has been corrected.
- When this procedure is carried out, be sure to drive the vehicle at lawful speed and pay attention to the other vehicles.

1. Connect the SSTs (NGS tester) to the DLC-2.
2. Turn the ignition key to ON (engine off).
3. Select the clear code function and clear the DTC.
4. Perform the following DTC inspections to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
- For P1720
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up until the engine coolant temperature is 60° C (140° F) or above.
iii. Drive the vehicle under the following conditions for 16 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- Input/turbine speed sensor: 1,500 rpm or above
- 1GR
- D range position
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0705
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access RPM PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle in each range (P. R, N, D, S. and L) for 100 seconds or more under the following condition.
- RPM PID: 530 rpm or above
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0706
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access RPM and VS PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle in each range (D, S, and L) under the following conditions for 100 seconds while monitoring PIDs.
- RPM PID: 530 rpm or above
- VS PID: 20 km/h (12 mph)
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0710
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access VS PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle under the following condition for 100 seconds or more while monitoring PID.
- VS PID: 20 km/h (12 mph)
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0711
i. Decrease ATF temperature to 20° C (68° F) or below.
ii. Start the engine.
iii. Access VS PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle under the following condition for 430 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VS PID: 60 km/h (37 mph)
v. Go to Step 5.
- For P0720
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access VS PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle under the following condition for 7 second or more while monitoring PID.
- VS PID: 20 km/h (12.4 mph) or above
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0725
i. Start the engine.
ii. Access VS PID using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iii. Drive the vehicle under following condition for 2 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VS PID: 40 km/h (24.8 mph) or above.
iv. Go to Step 5.
- For P0740
i. Start the engine.
ii. Warm up the engine and ATX.
iii. Access VS PIDs using the SSTs (NGS tester).
iv. Drive the vehicle under the following conditions for 15 seconds or more while monitoring PIDs.
- VS PID: Within 76 km/h 47 mph - 104 km/h (64 mph)
- 4GR
- D range position
- HOLD switch OFF
- TCC operation
v. Go to Step 5.
- For P1743
i. Start the engine.
ii. Drive the vehicle in D range and make sure that the gears shift smoothly from 1GR to 4GR and TCC is operated.
iii. Go to Step 5.
- For P0745
i. Start the engine.
ii. Drive the vehicle in D range 1 GR.
iii. Go to Step 5.
- For P0750, P0755, P1770
i. Drive the vehicle in D range and make sure that the gears shift smoothly from 1GR to 4GR.
ii. Go to Step 5.
- For P1566
i. Turn ignition key to ON (engine off).
ii. Go to Step 6.
- For P1790
i. Turn ignition key to ON (engine off).
ii. Access CTP SW PID using SSTs (NGS tester)
iii. Fully depress accelerator pedal for 1 seconds or more.
iv. Go to Step 6.
- For P1795
i. Start the engine.
ii. Increase vehicle speed from 0 - 50 km/h (0 - 31 mph) or above 14 times.
iii. Go to Step 5.
5. Gradually slow down and stop the vehicle.
6. Make sure that the repaired DTC does not recur.
