Control Valve Body (Disassembly)
CONTROL VALVE BODY (DISASSEMBLY)Disassembly
CAUTION: Denting or scratching these components will reduce the ability of the transaxle to shift properly. When handling these components or the valve body that contains them, be careful not to drop or hit them.
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure, referring to Disassembly Procedure.
2. Neatly arrange the removed parts to avoid confusing the similar parts.
WARNING: Using compressed air can cause dirt and other particles to fly out, causing injury to the eyes. Wear protective eye wear whenever using compressed air.
3. Clean the removed parts with cleaning solvent, and dry them with compressed air. Clean out all holes and passages with compressed air.
Disassembly Procedure
1. Remove the transmission fluid temperature sensor from the lower control valve body.
2. Remove the lockup, pressure control solenoid valve from the inter control valve body.
3. Remove the shift solenoid A, shift solenoid B, overrunning clutch solenoid valve from the lower control valve body.
4. Remove the bolts indicated and remove the support plate.
5. Remove the oil strainer.
6. Remove the bolts and nuts.
CAUTION: Do not drop or lose the steel balls.
7. Remove the upper control valve body and separator plate A as an assembly.
8. Remove the pilot filter from the separator plate A.
CAUTION: Do not drop or lose the steel balls.
9. Remove the separator plate A from the upper control valve body and remove the steel balls.
CAUTION: Do not drop or lose the steel balls.
10. Remove the steel balls from the inter control valve body upper side.
CAUTION: Do not drop or lose the steel balls.
11. Remove the inter control valve body and separator plate B as an assembly.
CAUTION: Do not drop or lose the steel balls.
12. Remove the separator plate B and gasket from the inter control valve body.
CAUTION: Do not drop or lose the steel balls.
13. Remove the steel balls from the inter control valve body.
14. Remove the orifice check valve and spring from the lower control valve body.
15. Remove the manual valve.
