Control Valve Body (Assembly)

CONTROL VALVE BODY (ASSEMBLY)
Assembly
1. Verify that all parts are clean and free of dust and other small particles.
2. Apply ATF to all O-rings and gaskets.





3. Assemble as shown in the figure, referring to Assembly Procedure.

Assembly Procedure





1. Apply ATF to the orifice check valve and spring and install them into the lower control valve body.





2. Apply ATF to the steel balls and install them into the inter control valve body.





3. Apply ATF to the new gasket and separator plate B and install them onto the inter control valve body.





4. Install the inter control valve body, gasket, and separator plate B as an assembly.





5. Apply ATF to the steel balls and install them into the inter control valve body.





6. Apply ATF to the steel balls and install them into the upper control valve body.





7. Apply ATF to the pilot filter and install it to the new separator plate A.
8. Apply ATF to the separator plate A and install it onto the upper control valve body.





9. Install the upper control valve body and separator plate A onto the inter control valve body.





10. Tighten the bolts and nut shown in the figure.

Tightening torque: 6.9 - 8.8 Nm (70 - 90 kgf-cm, 61 - 78 inch lbs.)





11. Install the bolts and support plate in their proper positions and tighten the bolts evenly and gradually.

Tightening torque: 6.9 - 8.8 Nm (70 - 90 kgf-cm, 61 - 78 inch lbs.)

12. Install the oil strainer.





13. Install the lockup solenoid valve and pressure control solenoid to the inter control valve body.





14. Install the shift solenoid A, shift solenoid B and overrunning clutch solenoid valve to the lower control valve body.





15. Install the transmission fluid temperature sensor.





16. Install the manual valve.
