Tilt Wheel Switch: Service and Repair

TILT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove the combination switch.





2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

TILT SWITCH REMOVAL NOTE
1. Remove the screws.
2. Release the tabs of the tilt switch from the turn lever boot.





3. Slide the tilt switch in the direction indicated by the arrow, then remove it along the turn lever.

TILT SWITCH INSTALLATION NOTE





1. After installing the tilt switch, route the harnesses of the combination switch as shown.

BAND CLIP INSTALLATION NOTE





1. Set the harness length from the shaft contact portion as follows.
Length
4 pin connector, 1 pin connector, 2 pin connector:
430 - 450 mm (17.0 - 17.7 inch)
21 -pin connector:
270 - 290 mm (10.7 - 11.4 inch)
4 pin connector (tilt SW):
375 - 395 mm (14.8 - 15.5 inch)





2. Install band clip as shown.
Length
A: 125 - 130 mm (4.93 - 5.11 inch)
B: 65 - 75 mm (2.6 - 2.9 inch)
C: 20 mm (0.8 inch)
