Transmission Mode Indicator - A/T: Testing and Inspection

HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION [L14A-EL]
Inspection of Operation
1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to the ON position.

Note The HOLD indicator light will flash if a malfunction exists in any of the EC-AT system components.

2. Verify that the HOLD indicator light is not illuminated.
3. Press the switch and verify that the HOLD indicator light illuminates.
- If the HOLD switch function is not as specified, after checking the HOLD switch, inspect the terminal voltage of the HOLD indicator light.

Inspection of Voltage
1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.








3. Measure voltage between terminal 2G and a ground.

Inspection of Continuity
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.








3. Inspect continuity between terminal 2F and the TCM terminal 1K.
- If it is as specified, go to the next step.
- If not as specified, inspect the wiring harness (instrument cluster-TCM).








4. Inspect continuity between terminals 2G and 2F.
- If not as specified, replace the instrument cluster or bulb.
5. Install the instrument cluster.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
