Detection Mode
NOTE: This is the only information provided by the manufacturer for reading trouble codes for this system.1. Drive the vehicle.
2. Operate the cruise control system and verify that the set, deceleration, acceleration, resume, and cancel controls function by operating each of the control switches.
3. Stop the vehicle and let it idle.
4. Connect the SST (NGS set) to the data link connector and battery.
5. Set the SST (NGS set) to AUX2.
6. Select "VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION" and press TRIGGER. (Select the model and specifications of the vehicle you're testing.)
7. Select "DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK" and press TRIGGER.
8. Select "CCM-CRUISE CONTROL MODULE" and press TRIGGER.
9. Select "DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE" and press TRIGGER.
10. Select "CRUISE CONTROL SELFTEST" and press TRIGGER.
11. Press START.
- If normal, "NO CODES RECEIVED" will then be indicated.
- If a diagnostic trouble code(s) is indicated, inspect the corresponding system area.
12. Remove the SST (NGS set)
13. The condition detection mode is canceled by turning the ignition switch to LOCK or by turning off the cruise control main switch.
