Removal and Installation
1. Remove the battery and the battery tray. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the clutch master cylinder nut.
^ To install, tighten to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
3. Working under the instrument panel, disconnect the clutch switch electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the clutch pedal position (CPP) electrical connector.
5. Remove the clutch master cylinder nut.
6. Remove the 2 clutch pedal bracket nuts.
^ To install, tighten to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
7. Remove the retaining clip, the clevis pin and the clevis bushing, then disconnect the push rod from the clutch pedal.
8. Remove the clutch pedal and bracket assembly.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Apply a small amount of grease to the:
- clevis bushing.
- end of the clutch switch.
10. Check the clutch pedal height and the clutch pedal free play. Adjust as necessary.
