PINPOINT TEST E: DTC'S C1194, C1196, C1198, C1200, C1202, C1204, C1206, C1208, C1210, C1212, C1214, C1216- ISOLATION VALVE, DUMP VALVENormal Operation
When the isolation valve is open, an unrestricted amount of brake fluid pressure is delivered from the master cylinder to the brake calipers. When the ABS module receives information about a locking wheel condition, the isolation valve closes and prevents brake fluid pressure from reaching the wheel that is locking.
The dump valve is pulsed on and off by the ABS module only when the isolation valve is closed. When the dump valve opens, it routes brake fluid to the ABS low pressure accumulator for temporary storage and decreases brake fluid pressure to the wheels. When the valve is inactive, normal brake fluid pressure is distributed to the brake calipers.
Possible Causes
^ An intermittent ABS module fault.
^ ABS Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
^ An open in circuit 534 (YE/LG).
