Applicability

Introduction

Some 2013 GS 350 vehicles may exhibit an intermittent front Intuitive Parking Assist System error, resulting in Trouble Codes C1AE1 and C1AEC.

The following error message will be displayed on the Multi-Display screen:

^ Check the parking assist sensor Updated parking assist sensors have been developed to address this condition.

Repair Procedure

1. Attempt to verify the condition.

2. Check for current or history DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) C1AEC and C1AE1. Are DTCs C1AEC and C1AE1 present?

A. Yes - Proceed to Step 3.

B. No - This Service Bulletin does not apply. Please use appropriate Repair Manual to continue diagnosis.

3. Replace the front left, left center, and right center Parking Assist Sensors.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

^ 2013 GS 350:
Audio/Visual/Telematics - Park Assist/Monitoring - "Ultrasonic Sensor: Removal / Installation"

4. Clear DTCs.

5. Verify proper operation after repair.
