Applicability
Introduction
Some Standard/Luxury grade GS 350 vehicles may exhibit an abnormal front brake squeak while traveling at slow speeds. A new brake pad kit is available to address this condition. Use the following repair procedure to repair this condition.

Repair Procedure
1. Conduct a road test to verify the noise condition. Noise usually occurs during stops with light pressure applied to the brake pedal.
NOTE
This procedure is for the right-hand side. Perform the same procedure for the left-hand side.

2. Inspect the front disc as described in the Repair manual.

Brake - Brake (front) - Front brake (for 17 inch Front Disc Brake) - "Brake (Front): Front brake (for 17 inch Front Disc Brake): Inspection"
A. If the runout is more than the maximum (0.05 mm [0.00197 in.]) change the installation position of the disc to minimize runout.
B. If the runout is more than the maximum even when the installation position is changed grind the disc.
C. If the disc thickness is less than the minimum (27.0 mm [1.06 in.]) replace the front disc.

3. Road test the vehicle to confirm the front brake squeak is no longer present.
