SUSPENSION: FRONT STABILIZER BAR (for 2WD): INSTALLATION

HINT
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH

(a) Install the front suspension member reinforcement LH to the vehicle with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSH

(a) Install the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushes outside of the bush stoppers on the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
Be sure to install the front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushes so that the cutouts face the front of the vehicle.

4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT STABILIZER BAR

(a) Temporarily install the front stabilizer bar with the 4 bolts and the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH and RH.





NOTICE:
Install the front stabilizer bar so that the identification mark face vehicle right side.

5. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH

(a) Tighten the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft-lbf)

6. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR LH

(a) Install the engine under cover rear LH with the 2 screws.





8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

9. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the engine under cover sub-assembly LH with the 2 screws.





10. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

11. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front stabilizer link with the 2 nuts.





Torque : 84 Nm (857 kgf-cm, 62 ft-lbf)

HINT
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.

12. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

13. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

(a) Install the No. 2 engine under cover with the 8 bolts.





Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf) (for bolt A)

Torque : 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft-lbf) (for bolt B)
