DESCRIPTION

When the engine switch is on (IG) and window lock switch is OFF, the multiplex network master switch sends remote UP/DOWN signal to each power window regulator motor via the LIN communication line.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system.

OK:

LIN communication system DTCs are not output.

NG -- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM LIN Communication System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH)

(a) Turn the window lock switch OFF and operate the switches on the multiplex network master switch. Check that the remote UP/DOWN function operates normally.





OK:

Remote UP/ DOWN function operates normally.

NG -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH)

OK -- END

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the multiplex network master switch is functioning properly.

Master Switch:





OK:

Techstream display changes normally when master switch is operated.

NG -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK)
