Installation

AA80E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (RH (+)) AND (LH (-))





(a) Pass the harness of the shift switch (LH (-)) through the holes of the lower steering wheel boss cover and attach the connector clamp.

(b) Connect the connector to the shift switch (RH (+)) and install a new cable tie to the switch at the location shown in the illustration to secure the wire in place.

(c) Attach the 2 harness clamps.

2. INSTALL LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER

(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the lower steering wheel cover and install the 2 screws.

(b) w/ Steering Heater:

Connect the steering heater connector.

(c) Install the shift switch with the 2 screws.

3. INSTALL STEERING SHAKE DAMPER

(a) Install the steering shake damper with the 2 screws.

4. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the cruise control main switch with the 2 screws.

(b) Connect the connector and attach the harness clamp.

5. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH MODULATOR





(a) Install the steering pad switch with the 4 screws.

NOTICE:
Connect the ground cable shown in the illustration.

(b) Connect the connector.

6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the steering wheel Installation.

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

9. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
