AA80F AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: TRANSFER ADAPTER OIL SEAL: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE TRANSFER CASE ADAPTER REAR OIL SEAL

(a) Using a screwdriver, pry out the transfer case adapter rear oil seal.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole or output shaft.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. INSTALL TRANSFER CASE ADAPTER REAR OIL SEAL

(a) Coat the lip of a new transfer case adapter rear oil seal with ATF.

(b) Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transfer case adapter rear oil seal.

Standard depth:

3.3 to 3.7 mm (0.13 to 0.15 in.)

Installation
