DESCRIPTION
When the engine switch is on (IG), the center airbag sensor transmits front seat inner belt state signals to the No. 1 meter ECU through CAN. If the driver seat belt is not fastened, the No.1 meter ECU blinks the driver side seat belt warning light. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs.
Result:
B -- Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Diagnosis System
C -- Go to AIRBAG SYSTEM Airbag System
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test" Seat Belt Warning System.
Combination Meter:
HINT
*: Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling.
OK:
Driver side seat belt warning light condition can be switched by "Active Test".
NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Temporarily replace the front seat inner belt LH with a new one Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the driver side seat belt warning light function Operation Check.
OK:
Driver side seat belt warning light operates normally.
NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU Removal
OK -- END (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT LH IS DEFECTIVE)
