POWER STEERING: POWER STEERING ECU: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
(a) Remove the 4 clips and side cover.
2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 clips and inlet cover.
3. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU
(a) Release the locks of the 2 power steering ECU connectors A and B and disconnect the connectors.
(b) Disconnect the connector C from the power steering ECU.
(c) Remove the 4 bolts and detach the claw, and remove the power steering ECU.
