Installation

1UR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring, and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.

(b) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing oil control valve (connecting surface with cylinder head cover).
* Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or moved out of place when installing the camshaft timing oil control valve.

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

7. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation

8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

9. DRIVING TEST

(a) After the engine is warmed up, perform the driving test. Then check that the oil control valve operates normally.
