- Rear Side Switch Module LIN Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The rear power seat module switch monitors the LIN communication bus between the components related to the switches on the rear seat.

HINT
DTC U0211, U0246, U1130 and U1131 are output simultaneously when: 1) there is an open or short in the LIN communication bus between the switches on the rear seat, and 2) their LIN communication bus stops.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When using the Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:

Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH - POSITION CONTROL ECU LH)

(a) Disconnect the r2*1 or S15*2 module switch connectors.

*1: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

*2: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman





(b) Disconnect the f40 ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

4. CLEAR DTC

(a) Reconnect the r2*1 or S15*2 module switch connectors.

HINT
*1: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

*2: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

(b) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Disconnect the f37 ECU connector.

(b) Recheck for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(a) Reconnect the f37 ECU connector.

(b) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Recheck for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(a) Disconnect the f8 ECU connector.

(b) Recheck for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(a) Reconnect the f8 ECU connector.
