INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
First perform the communication function inspections in HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

PROCEDURE

1. CONFIRM LIGHT POSITION

(a) Check the malfunctioning interior foot light.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT)

(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

Front interior foot light condition can be switched by Active Test.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT LH - BATTERY)





(a) Disconnect the L29 light connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT LH)





(a) Remove the front interior foot light Removal.

(b) Apply battery voltage to the front interior foot light and check the light condition.

OK:





NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT LH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT LH)





(a) Disconnect the L11 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the L29 light connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU

6. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT)

(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

OK:

Front interior foot light condition can be switched by Active Test.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT RH)

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT RH)





(a) Disconnect the L81 light connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

8. INSPECT NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT INTERIOR FOOT RH)





(a) Remove the front interior foot light Removal.

(b) Apply battery voltage to the front interior foot light and check the light condition.

OK:





NG -- REPLACE NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT RH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - FRONT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT RH)





(a) Disconnect the L11 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the L81 light connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU

10. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (REAR INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT)

(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

Rear interior foot light condition can be switched by Active Test.

11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT LH - BATTERY)





(a) Disconnect the k2 light connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

12. INSPECT INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (REAR INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT LH)





(a) Remove the rear interior foot light Removal.

(b) Apply battery voltage to the rear interior foot light and check the light condition.

OK:

13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - REAR INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT LH)





(a) Disconnect the S62 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the k2 light connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

OK -- REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK (REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)

(b) Disconnect the k1 light connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
