DESCRIPTION
When the seat heater switch is operated, the rear power seat switch receives the signal. The rear power seat switch then sends the signal to the rear seat climate control ECU through LIN communication. The rear seat climate control ECU receives the signal and operates the seat heater.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no LIN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this problem.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FUSE (RR-IG1-3, P RR S/HTR)
(a) Remove the RR-IG1-3 fuse from the luggage room junction block.
(b) Remove the P RR S/HTR fuse from passenger side junction block.
(c) Measure the resistance of the fuses.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the f13 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table blow.
Standard voltage:
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the rear seat heater switch.

OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH - CURTAIN SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH Disassembly
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH - CURTAIN SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the r1 and r3 switch connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table blow.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE CURTAIN SWITCH (REAR SEAT HEATER SWITCH) Removal
