Front Door Lock

DOOR LOCK: FRONT DOOR LOCK: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.





OK:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(b) Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

Standard resistance:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(c) Measure the resistance of the door lock and unlock switch.





Standard resistance:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(d) w/ Door Closer:

Closer motor operation inspection





(1) Set the front door with motor lock assembly LH to the half latch position.

(2) When battery voltage is applied as shown below to the terminals of connector B of the front door with motor lock assembly LH, check the operation of the door closer.

OK:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.





OK:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(b) Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

Standard resistance:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

(c) w/ Door Closer:

Closer motor operation inspection





(1) Set the front door with motor lock assembly RH to the half latch position.

(2) When battery voltage is applied as shown below to the terminals of connector B of the front door with motor lock assembly RH, check the operation of the door closer.

OK:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
