Removal





ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD SUPPORT: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
* As much as possible avoid touching the stroke portions of the rod to prevent foreign matter from attaching to it. Be sure to hold the cylinders while servicing.
* Do not wear cotton gloves or other similar materials when handling the rod. Fibers may attach to the rod and result in gas leaks.

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips and remove the front fender protector.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE HOOD SUPPORT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the hood support assembly while releasing the 2 clips.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

NOTICE:
Remove the hood support assembly while supporting the hood by hand.

4. REMOVE BRACKET HOOD STAY LH

(a) Remove the 1 bolt and bracket hood stay LH.





NOTICE:
Remove the hood support assembly while supporting the hood by hand.

5. REMOVE HOOD SUPPORT BRACKET LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and hood support bracket LH.





NOTICE:
Remove the hood support assembly while supporting the hood by hand.
