DESCRIPTION

The circuit is necessary for ASL (Automatic Sound Levelizer). Speed signals are received from the No. 1 meter ECU sub-assembly and used for the ASL.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT NO. 1 METER ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (SPEEDOMETER)

(a) Drive the vehicle and check that the function of the speedometer on the No. 1 meter ECU sub-assembly is normal.

OK:

Actual vehicle speed and the speed indicated on the speedometer are the same.

NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 METER ECU - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER)

(a) Disconnect the L10 meter connector.





(b) Disconnect the R34 amplifier connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table
