DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer sounds to alert the driver and buzzer frequency changes depending on the distance to an obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (WARNING BUZZER)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the buzzer operates.

NG -- SYSTEM CHECK

2. SYSTEM CHECK

(a) Check if the vehicle is equipped with the advanced parking guidance system.

B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - FRONT CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)
A -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - FRONT CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)

(a) Disconnect the L19 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the L48 buzzer connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE FRONT CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER

(a) Temporarily replace the front clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

(b) Check the clearance warning buzzer sounds.

OK:

Front clearance warning buzzer sounds.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Intuitive Parking Assist System

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - FRONT CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)

(a) Disconnect the L91 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the L48 buzzer connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. REPLACE FRONT CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER

(a) Temporarily replace the front clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

(b) Check the clearance warning buzzer sounds.

OK:

Front clearance warning buzzer sounds.

NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Intuitive Parking Assist System
