DESCRIPTION
* When the driving support ECU detects a lane-keeping assist main switch signal, it sends the signal to the combination meter through CAN communication. Then the LKA indicator light turns on.
* The LKA indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Select the item below in the Active Test, and then check that the LKA indicator light illuminates Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
Combination Meter
OK:
LKA indicator light turns on / turns off.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Use the Data List to check if the LKA indicator light is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
Lane Keep Assist
OK:
LKA indicator light turns on, turns off or blink.
NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
