The TCM monitors its internal operation and it will store this DTC when it detects an internal malfunction.





MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The TCM monitors its internal operation. If the internal operation is malfunctioning, the TCM illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Perform the universal trip to clear permanent DTCs AA80F Automatic Transmission System.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION DTC P062F)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Clear DTCs AA80F Automatic Transmission System.

(e) Turn the engine switch off and turn the Techstream off.

(f) Disconnect the Techstream.

(g) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

(h) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

(i) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(j) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(k) Turn the Techstream on.

(l) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.

(m) Read the DTCs using the Techstream.
