DESCRIPTION

If the steering control ECU detects an internal malfunction, it will turn the master warning light on, store these DTCs, and stop VGRS operation.

1. REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace steering control ECU Removal.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MASTER WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the conditions under which the master warning light comes on.

Result:

The engine stalled, battery voltage is too low, or the steering control ECU connector is disconnected.

NG -- REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Variable Gear Ratio Steering System.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. PERFORM VGRS SYSTEM CALIBRATION

(a) Perform VGRS system calibration Calibration.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Variable Gear Ratio Steering System.
