Advanced Parking Guidance System

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the front sensors and ECU, or when there is malfunction in a front sensor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
- When "System initializing" is displayed on the display and navigation module display after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point Initialization.
- Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the advanced parking guidance system may be needed Calibration.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - FRONT LEFT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the L90 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the D1 sensor connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LEFT SIDE SENSOR - FRONT RIGHT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the D1 and D5 sensor connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. INSPECT NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT LEFT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor (front left sensor) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT LEFT SIDE SENSOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor with a normally functioning sensor Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

B -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU Removal

A -- END (NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE)
