Advanced Parking Guidance System





PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: ADVANCED PARKING GUIDANCE SYSTEM: C1AE5: Front Right Side Sensor
C1AE5 - Front Right Side Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The No. 2 ultrasonic sensor (front right side sensor) is installed on the front bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the front right side sensor. If the front right side sensor has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
- When "System initializing" is displayed on the display and navigation module display after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point Initialization.
- Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the advanced parking guidance system may be needed Calibration.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

B -- REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SIDE SENSOR)

A -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

2. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor with a normally functioning sensor Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

Result





B -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU Removal

A -- END (NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE)
