C1A71 - Power Steering Control Torque
DESCRIPTION
When the driving support ECU receives a malfunction signal from the power steering ECU, DTC C1A71 is stored.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC (POWER STEERING SYSTEM)
(a) Check for DTCs Power Steering System.
OK:
Power steering system DTCs are not output.
NG -- GO TO POWER STEERING SYSTEM How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Make sure the following conditions are met:
HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect malfunctions.
- Lane keeping assist system:
The vehicle is being driven at a speed of approximately 50 km/h (31 mph) or more and the lane-keeping assist main switch is on.
(c) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC C1A71 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU
OK -- END
3. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU
(a) Replace the driving support ECU with a new one Removal.
NOTICE:
When replacing the driving support ECU, always replace it with a new one and be sure to perform initialization Testing and Inspection. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the ECU will not match the information from the vehicle, and as a result, a DTC may be stored.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Make sure the following conditions are met:
