C1A21 - Object Recognition Camera

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU uses the front millimeter wave radar sensor, driver monitor camera and object recognition camera to detect obstacles in front of and behind the vehicle, and detect the direction that the driver's head is facing. Based on this information, the driving support ECU sends pre-collision control operation signals.

If the driving support ECU detects a malfunction in the object recognition camera sensor, DTC C1A21 is output.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR

(a) Replace the object recognition camera sensor Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR

(a) Adjust the object recognition camera sensor Adjustments.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DRIVING SUPPORT ECU

(a) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Code.

(b) Select "Clear" and clear the data.

(c) Recheck for DTC.

OK:

DTC C1A21 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal
