DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU uses the front millimeter wave radar sensor, driver monitor camera and object recognition camera sensor to detect obstacles in front of and behind the vehicle, and detect the direction that the driver's head is facing. Based on this information, the driving support ECU sends pre-collision control operation signals.

When the front millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, it acquires the country specification information from the driving support ECU. Also, when the driving support ECU is replaced with a new one, it receives country specification information from the combination meter. When country specification information in the sensor and ECU do not match, DTC C1A0A is output.

If the sensor and vehicle country specification information are the same, and the combination meter and the driving support ECU country specification information are different, C1A0C is output.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the front millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed Adjustments.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FRONT MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR

(a) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Data List.

(b) Read the Data List and check the country specification information of the front millimeter wave radar sensor and vehicle.

HINT
- The country specification information of the driving support ECU is decided by the combination meter. Even if the vehicle and sensor country specification information match, if the country specification information for the vehicle and ECU/meter do not match, it is necessary to replace the ECU and meter.
- When the country specification information (North America to Europe and Europe to North America) for the vehicle body and sensor do not match, the sensor's information can be overwritten by performing the sensor's axis adjustment.
