C1569 - Battery Power Supply Voltage Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

As a fail-safe function, when the battery power supply voltage is malfunctioning, power assistance stops.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (EPS ECU)

(a) Remove the EPS ECU fuse from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the A44 ECU connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NOTICE:
If replacing the power steering ECU, initialize the rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Power Steering System.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
