C1203/95 - ECM Communication Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The circuit is used to send TR(A)C and VSC control information from the skid control ECU to the ECM, and engine control information from the ECM to the skid control ECU via the CAN communication system.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
- When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of the linear solenoid valve and calibration Initialization.
- If the ECM has been replaced, it is necessary to register the ECU Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK PART NUMBER (SKID CONTROL ECU AND ECM)

(a) Check that the proper skid control ECU and ECM are installed.

NG -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU AND ECM WITH PROPER ONES
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Check if the same DTC is recorded Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

HINT
Reinstall the sensors, connectors, etc. and restore the vehicle to its prior condition before rechecking for DTCs.
