B2427 - CAN Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

* The AFS ECU receives an engine running states signal and shift position signal from the ECM using CAN communication.

* The AFS ECU receives front speed sensor LH and RH signals from the skid control ECU using CAN communication.

* The AFS ECU receives the headlight states signal from the main body ECU using CAN communication.

* The AFS ECU sends an AFS OFF indicator light ON or OFF demand signal to the combination meter ECU using CAN communication.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC

(a) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2427 output does not occur.

NG -- CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

OK -- NORMAL

3. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTC Diagnosis System.

OK:

CAN communication system DTC output does not occur.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CAN Communication System

OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU Removal
