B2281 - "P" Signal Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
This DTC B2281 is output when there is an abnormal circuit between the main body ECU and the shift lock control ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the A68 main body ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L47 shift lock control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the shift lock control ECU with a new or normally functioning one.
(b) Check that the engine starts normally.
OK:
Engine starts normally.
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK -- END (SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU IS FAULTY)
